Did I mention?

Dyno results my 2001 ZX6R Race dedicated bike, the motor is stock (although I was told it had an EDR build, I’m thinking otherwise from the dyno), it has a full akra system (that leaks), Factory Pro Ti kit (badly tuned) and BMC Race air filter.

The results 97.66HP – See image..

Apparently a little lean ~7k and really rich past that, I was told to raise the needle a notch and drop a main jet size. I was considering doing some carb adjustments and heading back to the dyno.

Current carb settings:
Main jets: 152.5 150 150 152.5
Needle position: #3 #4 #4 #3
Air fuel screws are set ~3 or so turns out
Carb is synced

Scotts Damper – Update!

August 6th, 2010 No comments

After not hearing from Scotts Performance for a few weeks, I called and they eventually tracked down my damper. Unfortunately they said since it was, you know, on fire.. they would not service it as it could be warped from the heat. They were nice enough to return my damper (uncleaned), all mounting parts (cleaned up looking so new I thought they were new) and a few replacement pieces that are brand new… all for $7.31. Next stop, Barry @ KFG Racing, I’ll see if he can restore it.

Scotts Damper Repairable?

June 16th, 2010 No comments

Tomorrow I’ll be sending in the slightly burnt Scotts Damper. I suspect I might go over the “average cost” for a “completed service”, which is quoted @ $35/labor & $30/parts. I’m curious what they’ll have to say about it…

WMRRA Round 4

WMRRA Round 4, June 12th – June 13th @ Pacific Raceway
I hadn’t fully recovered from the crash, as it turns out I had a mild concussion and sprained my neck. My entire right side has been fairly sore. I corner worked Saturday, which was tiring, despite it being a quiet day. I started Sunday feeling fatigued but optimistic. Within ~2 laps of my first race it was clear I was beyond fatigued. With each lap I felt more injuries from the crash that haven’t healed. It became less about racing, more about pushing mind and body to endure the race. I finished both races, although very displeased with my lap times. Chaos ensued before each of my races, which didn’t help matters. I look forward to racing while not entirely fatigued, I’ll most likely skip Spokane to ensure I’m fully recovered.
